Information Systems: We are currently accepting applications for Full-time Information Systems Technician: Support Information Systems department by responding to work orders placed by residents and staff, troubleshooting the problem and resolve. To be main point of contact for cable TV, high-speed data, business cell/push-talk phones, and telephones for the community. The technician would co-ordinate, install, troubleshoot, or repair, and/or escalate accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of one to two years of training at a vocational or community college
  • Experience can be substituted for education requirements
  • Must be a self-starter, a team player, have the skills to follow through on assignments and produce positive results
  • Must have great interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with non-technical and geriatric populace
  • Rotating on-call schedule or after hour emergency response
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructures; Main Distribution Facility (MDF), Independent Distribution Facility (IDF), cabling infrastructure
  • Ability to diagnose problems and work independently with minimum supervision
  • Must have great decision making skills due to actions having a noticeable effect department or company wide
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft Office, PC operating systems
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructures, Main Distribution Frame (MDF), Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF), cabling infrastructure
  • Familiar with Windows Server
  • Cisco CCNA, Network, Security, A+ certifications a plus

Resident Services: We are currently accepting applications for Part-time Driver: Responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation to our Residents. Must posses a Valid Texas Driver's License. Days and hours vary. Must be flexible, and able to work nights, weekends and holidays. Retired military preferred.

Resident ServicesWe are currently accepting applications for Full-time Hair Stylist: The primary function of the Beauty Salon Stylist is to effectively facilitate a requested beauty treatment for the residents. The Stylist maintains the highest level of standards for techniques, treatment, and design in conjunction with compliance to state regulations and policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs hair style consultation with the residents to determine what services are necessary.
  • Provides services to residents such as shampooing, cutting, styling, coloring and highlighting as desired.
  • Provides manicures and pedicures as requested by the residents.
  • Maintains safety standards and cleanliness.
  • Maintains and fosters a consistent relationship with the resident base in order to ensure repeat residents.
  • Proactively recruits new residents for services within the salon.
  • Presents an appropriate attitude and professional appearance to reflect and promote the image of the salon.
  • Comply with policies set forth in the Army Residence Community Employee Handbook.
  • Records a detail of all treatments performed for each resident for accounting purposes.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer satisfaction that exceeds expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Thorough knowledge of hair styles, hair care products and related procedures to the beauty industry.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Holds a valid cosmetology license issued by the state of Texas.
  • 5 years’ experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with a senior population. Preferred training or certification from a hair styling or cosmetology school.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Required to work Monday- Friday, 30 hours a week

Finance:We are currently accepting applications for Chief Financial Officer: This position reports to the Executive Director/CEO. Ensure financial accountability and oversee the financial operations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and the approved budgets, policies and procedures of the organization. Direct all financial, investment, purchasing and payroll activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain detailed awareness of financial affairs and ensure timely, accurate reporting of financial information to the CEO, Board, and Directors. Perform periodic analyses of income, expenses and assets and produce timely financial statements and reports. Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
  • Maintain and oversee the system of accounts; general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting and budgetary controls. Maintain bank balances and accounting software.
  • Maintain corporate documents and ensure the organization complies with all reporting requirements of Federal and State agencies. Ensure all applicable taxes are reported and submitted.
  • Supervise employees performing accounting, finance, investment, purchasing, and payroll.
  • Lead staff training and development in budgeting and financial management areas. Prepare budgets for approval, review monthly actual to budget with Directors. Participate in continual improvement of the budgeting process by educating Directors on financial issues impacting their budgets.
  • Create processes for real-time, financial performance feedback across all departments.
  • Monitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure that financial health is maintained and all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting. Ensure use of contemporary best practices.
  • Lead strategic planning process to facilitate annual plans.
  • Provide support to sales team on pricing and contracts. 
  • Build and maintain strong banking relationships.
  • Manage investments in collaboration with CEO and Board Finance Committee.
  • Prepare documents for tax returns and coordinate activities with CPA firm.
  • Prepare documents for annual audit and coordinate activities with external auditors.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service with community residents and families

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. Prefer Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • Active CPA license in the state of Texas 
  • 5+ years’ experience in senior accounting/finance leadership position with hands-on competence in all aspects of full cycle accounting
  • Experience leading Accounting, Finance, Purchasing and Payroll functions
  • Process improvement experience
  • 5+ years’ supervisory experience
  • Flexible, adaptable; adept at engaging directly with non-financial managers across organization
  • Strong customer engagement experience
  • Advanced level Word and Excel skills; intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Positive management style and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with residents, staff and support agencies
  • Able to work effectively with diverse, high demand resident population

Health Care/ Resident Services: We are currently accepting applications for Full-time Social Worker: The Social Worker is responsible for identifying Residents’ psychosocial, mental and emotional needs along with providing, developing, and/or aiding in the access of services to meet those needs in accordance with policies and procedures, and current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Responsible for fostering a climate, supporting policies, and establishing routines that enable Residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity. This climate shall provide Residents with the highest practical level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being and quality of life.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops a comprehensive social history and psychosocial assessment that includes the Resident's problems, strengths, and preferences, including cultural, religious, and ethnic background and implications for the care plan.
  • Mediates issues that arise among Residents, families and staff.
  • Helps Residents and families prepare for and cope with losses, including aging and death. Provides information and forms for Advance Directives, D.N.R., MPOA, and POA.
  • Trains and consults with staff regarding psychosocial needs that encompass social, ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity of individual Residents, the Resident group as a whole, and families to increase staff sensitivity.
  • Assesses Residents’ needs to move along continuum of care. Provides information, referral, and assistance as necessary to facilitate the best outcome.
  • Tracks and assess effectiveness of providing social work services quarterly and annually.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in social work from an accredited school of social work
  • Licensed by the State Board of Social Work
  • Two years of long term care required
  • MDS and care planning experience required
  • Prior work with elders in a community
  • Must have skills in communication, assessment and social work methods and techniques
  • Must have a working understanding of social systems along with the ability to implement pertinent state and federal regulations
  • Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with Residents, staff, and support agencies
  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
