Resident Services: We are currently accepting applications for Full-time Front Desk Supervisor: The Front Desk Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations and technical support of the 24-hour, year-round command center and its satellite for all alarm programs; emergency dispatch; Community transportation; communications; and Community relations. The Front Desk Supervisor manages staff, ensuring exceptional customer service; and acts as the face of the Army Residence Community, its mission and motto.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Command Center Management

  • Oversee the alarm protocol to acknowledge all community alarms. Verify the alarm, dispatch the necessary staff (i.e., medical, security, maintenance, etc.); notify 911; inform leadership; and coordinate response efforts. Conduct routine testing of alarms (i.e., fire, security, and medical).
  • Provide 24-hour on-call contact availability to staff for emergency notification and consultation. Respond to crises as needed to provide emergency assistance directly or appropriate referral.


Communication

  • Oversee switchboard operations, updating changes in population and staff contact information, as well as log of Resident movement in and out of the Community due to hospitalization.
  • Establish and maintain communication protocols for clear, accurate, and timely conveyance of information via two-way radios, telephone, electronic or written media within the team, Community, and with external entities.



Community Relations

  • Direct the greeting and screening of Residents, guests, visitors, vendors, and employees to ensure immediate need, destination, or purpose met with proper notification of host or intended office, as well as assistance rendered.
  • Provide a centralized hub for messages; information dissemination; delivery and pick-up of packages; registering work orders; and all guest room processes.



Transportation Management

  • Supervise all Community transportation: established daily-routes; private-hire; special events; chartered activities; and on-campus shuttle.
  • Establish and publish transportation availability, schedules, routes, and fees.



Staff and Operations Management

  • Orient, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate 24-hour front desk team and oversee its operations. Promote teamwork, model professionalism, and develop Community trust with sound human relations skills.
  • Monitor Front Desk facilities, equipment, transportation, and supplies daily to ensure team readiness to fulfill its mission. Initiate work orders or purchases accordingly.
  • Support and represent Front Desk and/or Resident Services as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, to include manning shifts or positions as needed.




MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Experience in hospitality and/or dispatch field preferred.
  • Excellent diplomacy, customer service, and interpersonal relations, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience handling sensitive and confidential issues.
  • Strong, detail-oriented skills, multi-tasking, organization, and self-management.
  • Possess high level of personal and professional integrity, safety consciousness, and flexibility.

Information Systems: We are currently accepting applications for Full-time Information Systems Technician: Support Information Systems department by responding to work orders placed by residents and staff, troubleshooting the problem and resolve. To be main point of contact for cable TV, high-speed data, business cell/push-talk phones, and telephones for the community. The technician would co-ordinate, install, troubleshoot, or repair, and/or escalate accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of one to two years of training at a vocational or community college
  • Experience can be substituted for education requirements
  • Must be a self-starter, a team player, have the skills to follow through on assignments and produce positive results
  • Must have great interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with non-technical and geriatric populace
  • Rotating on-call schedule or after hour emergency response
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructures; Main Distribution Facility (MDF), Independent Distribution Facility (IDF), cabling infrastructure
  • Ability to diagnose problems and work independently with minimum supervision
  • Must have great decision making skills due to actions having a noticeable effect department or company wide
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft Office, PC operating systems
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructures, Main Distribution Frame (MDF), Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF), cabling infrastructure
  • Familiar with Windows Server
  • Cisco CCNA, Network, Security, A+ certifications a plus

Finance:We are currently accepting applications for Chief Financial Officer: This position reports to the Executive Director/CEO. Ensure financial accountability and oversee the financial operations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and the approved budgets, policies and procedures of the organization. Direct all financial, investment, purchasing and payroll activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain detailed awareness of financial affairs and ensure timely, accurate reporting of financial information to the CEO, Board, and Directors. Perform periodic analyses of income, expenses and assets and produce timely financial statements and reports. Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
  • Maintain and oversee the system of accounts; general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting and budgetary controls. Maintain bank balances and accounting software.
  • Maintain corporate documents and ensure the organization complies with all reporting requirements of Federal and State agencies. Ensure all applicable taxes are reported and submitted.
  • Supervise employees performing accounting, finance, investment, purchasing, and payroll.
  • Lead staff training and development in budgeting and financial management areas. Prepare budgets for approval, review monthly actual to budget with Directors. Participate in continual improvement of the budgeting process by educating Directors on financial issues impacting their budgets.
  • Create processes for real-time, financial performance feedback across all departments.
  • Monitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure that financial health is maintained and all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting. Ensure use of contemporary best practices.
  • Lead strategic planning process to facilitate annual plans.
  • Provide support to sales team on pricing and contracts. 
  • Build and maintain strong banking relationships.
  • Manage investments in collaboration with CEO and Board Finance Committee.
  • Prepare documents for tax returns and coordinate activities with CPA firm.
  • Prepare documents for annual audit and coordinate activities with external auditors.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service with community residents and families

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. Prefer Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • Active CPA license in the state of Texas 
  • 5+ years’ experience in senior accounting/finance leadership position with hands-on competence in all aspects of full cycle accounting
  • Experience leading Accounting, Finance, Purchasing and Payroll functions
  • Process improvement experience
  • 5+ years’ supervisory experience
  • Flexible, adaptable; adept at engaging directly with non-financial managers across organization
  • Strong customer engagement experience
  • Advanced level Word and Excel skills; intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Positive management style and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with residents, staff and support agencies
  • Able to work effectively with diverse, high demand resident population
